Colton is just shy of 6 months

So I feel bad all the kids have new pictures and stories posted but Colton is just the cutest almost 6 month old on Joan Ave. This week he turns 6 months and I wish that time would stop. This morning with his rice cereal & carrots he had a cup of apple juices with lots of water....this little boy is a mamma lover! It does make me a little crazy at times but I am loving every bit of it. He WILL not take a bottle, but baby food is finally a hit. Between sweet potatoes, carrots, & pears and bit of rice cereal we keep him full and Carissa can keep him happy while bbsitting. Colton is rolling all over the family room and loves Shelby the dog way too much ! As you know I love the dog but not the dog hair especially when it involves my chubby baby. So as for Colton he is making his place just right in the Merrill family.

The 1st GOOOOAL!

Today was picture day for the Hulks! It also was the 1st goal Thayne made for the team. We think he really loves the game...a few games have gone by and now he is in the game! Check out his muscles! Just like Daddy! We had a great morning at the soccer field this morning!

The Girls went short too!

As you can see the girls went with a new short hair cut too! Addison got bangs! Oh and Emma has no front teeth. And Carissa loves to be the photographer. I think she would blog every other day if she new my password....13 is so much fun she loves to keep me on my toes and the blog up to date.

Current Obsessions

1. A candy bar & a diet Coke
2. Going on dates with Bob ...We love to find restaurants that you can sit outside and have yummy food! We are becoming food snobs.
3. Watching Food Network/ And then cooking new desserts ( Bob hates when I put everything but the kitchen sink into his Chocolate cookies) Carissa is the better cookie maker at our house! She bakes all the time she's waiting for the weather to cool off so she can take back her kitchen.

Regrets

1. Not water the back yard last week...Our vine on the house died.. we have waited 4 years for it to take off and it had finally started.
2. Not planting a garden this summer... no yummy tomatoes , and no homemade sauce.
3. Not telling my girls I loved them this morning...I'll have to make it up tonight.

Facts about me

1. I love to clean house with no interruptions. Not going to happen for a few years.
2. I love cooking & eating really yummy food .If it has avocado it is heaven, therefore I hope it is in heaven or I'll need a few trees .
3. Bubbles baths are my favorite!

Short hair again

I am a happy Mom! It's been a while maybe like 5 or 6 years...who's counting? (ME) but I finally did it I cut about 2 inches 2 months ago and today I took like 4 inches off! Wow! Addie took the pics but the back is too cool stacked up the back. I hope its easier to do .

Happy Grandparents day

You know we love Grandparents day...ever since Carissa was is Kindergarten we have celebrated Grandparents day in one form or thee other, the last few years we had a grandparents day with the folks in our ward at church. We would have the children sing songs to them and then share hot cocoa and donuts! We loved it. I'm not in charge of that anymore. we also had a day at school that we enjoyed when Carissa and Addie we little but this year we thought we'd just take a great picture before church. Everyone was happy and ready early so it was a perfect fit for us this year. We love our Grandparents! They are best to our kids and we have so many happy memories & traditions with them. We love you Grandma & Grandpa, Nana & Papa & all those who love the kids and are hear for us close to home.

Thayne loves Preschool!

So preschool started last week and Thayne is happy, happy, happy! We can't believe how grown up Thayne is, thank goodness we have a cute chubby baby boy to love at home.
