Oh how I want it to feel like Fall!!

Today is another really warm day of many and many more are to come. It really is the first day of Autumn...but it feels like summer. If I remember September always does this in Northern California. I was dealing with it but then my favorite catalog came "Crate & Barrel" and all I could do is drool all over it. So many things I can find in it and it really makes me want to make yummy acorn stuffed squash, for dinner or hot yummy soup.I want to let the leaves fall and have cool crisp afternoons. I guess I'll have to wait another month, I'll sit back and enjoy my summer zinnias and dream of hot cocoa mornings to come.

We did! We went to Monterey Bay for Labor Day, it was great on the road by 6:30 am NO traffic at all. Arrived in Monterey buy 8:45 am it was absolutely beautiful, cool crisp and sunny. Stopped at Longs for batteries, and then we were off to the Aquarium! As we picked up the tickets at will call we were asked "do you want to add $8 and become a member?" Why not? We only live a short drive and September and October are always wonderful weather at the Bay. And better yet its a tax detectable "Donation". So here we are enjoying the fish then eating them at Bubba Gumps, and walking all over Monterey. We stopped at the beach to put our feet in, it was cold. It wouldn't be a Monday OH Fun with out a Merrill family adventure ride through Pebble Beach on the 17 mile drive. Then some shopping in Gilroy at the outlets. Did you know when you drive through the biggest Capitol of Garlic "Gilroy" it smells like garlic. Yummy.
