January Events

We have had a few things take place around here one.) Last week Thayne has learned to ride his bike without training wheels so far we have had few crashes but no band-aids just blood running down the back of the heel and a small little thing on the forearm about 4 inches long. The breaks are what we need to work on now. Before today we have had almost 3 weeks of Spring weather it has been great, so we have had lots of bike practice.

Thayne and Dad had a blast in the street....

I think this is the part all the kids love the most because they get to ride in the forbidden street!

Two.) Carissa got to go to the Shellie Awards we knew she was beautiful but this made us all a little nervous Saturday night seeing her all dressed up...so glad she is who she is during the awards show she texted us "this is a little boring" all in all we have decided she can't date till she goes to college!

This past week...

ok so this past week I thought...It's a new year & we are going to get ORGANIZED! So today is Thursday and my garbage can and recycling bin are overflowing and I only got done with one of four rooms... oh and I did clean out the basket on top of the fridge...having a little baby who totally loves ME makes these projects a little more time consuming then I planned. I really thought I'd take care of one room a day be done by Saturday and move the kids around this weekend...change of plans I guess.

And How could I forget our team played in the Sugar Bowl and beat the pants off Alabama go UTES!!! The girls had to get dressed in their Utah best, all for a great cause, to celebrate the Win!

Well the boys are having fun with the light sabers at least.

Moving on Colton turned 9 months he is now a moving machine...yesterday I went to get him from his bed and he was sitting up... then this morning after his nap I went to get him and the stinker was on his knees pulling up...holy cow we have a crib to move down this weekend..shhhh Bob hates when I give him to do lists. Colt also has gotten is first ear infection and now has 2 shinny grains of rice (aka: new teeth). So the life of the Merrill family is busy happy and somewhat healthy from the home front.

A little catching up...

Well I have forgotten a very important event in the Merrill family every December we have some Ballerina's that perform in the Christmas Ballet"Once Upon a Christmas" and this year we had 3 girls...I usually get to help backstage which i always love to do but this year I just couldn't do it with the boys and Bob's work schedule. But as always I had some costumes to repair, add sparkle to the Purple fairy, and sew pink rick-rack onto Cookie hoods & mittens. It was all said and done on December 23rd and here are some backstage picture of it all(courtesy of my darling Daughters)

Happy New Year 2009

We have a family tradition that on New Years Eve we get all dressed up in our very best and go to dinner to a fancy restaurant. This year was Addison's choice it was Bridges in Danville....why you ask? Let me just say it in one phrase "Mrs. Doubtfire"
It was a yummy time and Colton stayed happy the entire dinner. We got outside to take a great picture and ...we have a 13 year old Daughter who uses our camera too much and well...the battery was dead, so I had one shot at home. Upon our return this is all I got.
