Spring Break 2012

Easter April 2012
Newport Beach Temple

We began the fun with a Roaring Monster party for Colton with four of his friends.

The friends left and the Easter egg dieing started then we moved on to packing and picking up the rental car.

Next we started our spring break weekend adventure.
Thayne & Dad even got a little football in on the I-5.

Hotel destination "Newport Beach" with a outside tempature of 74 degrees.

Elevator and swimming pool, add in an ice machine and everyone is happy!

Off to dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory with spumoni to top it off.

We had lots of car shots we spent a large portions of our time in the lovely rental car. the best part about it was the head rest button for the rear seat. lets just say it kept those lovely teenagers in line during the whole drive. Bob and i thought it was worth the smaller cargo space to have that lovely little button.

We spent a whole day on Catalina Island, first on the boat...

We found the Church...

Ate a little Mexican...too much Mexican!

Rented bikes

and a golf cart...

Played in the water on a paddle board

Emma took a spill

Then we headed back to the main land.

back on the boat with one asleep

the girls made some friends...some were boys!

We saw Grandma & Grandpa  for dinner

Grandpa's Burger had too much mustard.

We stopped in Brea for a visit to my Dad's resting place along with my grandparents.
It was a beautiful day.

Colton thought is was ok to use the tree...oops! I think  some  would be proud. I hope no one saw.

We ended the trip with breakfast in Corona Del Mar at our favorite bagel place and even better with the Hiatt's! They were on a weekend getaway to and headed for home.
Perfect we all set off to Simi Valley to visit the Ronald Reagan Library

Airforce One WOW!

The view on such a great day in Simi Valley.

We all headed to In-and-Out to top us off and head for home. So glad we got to visitt with our friends and family.
