I am feeling the same way at the exact same time as last year...

You'd think I'd get used to it,well its Autumn and is it 104 today and the last 3 days have been really hot. On Saturday I tried to trick my kids into loving the heat. We went to walk around downtown and see all the art work. Then we got some fall decoration for the house and a painting for the bathroom not at the fair at Cost Plus...I love this place it is one of my favorite's but every time we enter Colton goes crazy. He HATES this store now matter what we do he freaks. So Bob checked out while I stood outside with a crazy 2 year old and got so many different look. I was talking to my friend about this when we discipline our children who are out of control we get the worst looks and comments. It's as if we aren't good parents for not putting up with there stuff. so the hot day was hot!!! and it made grouchy children all around. The best part about this lovely heat is that this year we can come home to such a fabulous cool house! I love Love love this. So come on cool weather I think we are ready for you. Besides the pits of my T-shirts are looking pretty bad.

This is what the kids wanted to buy to get us in the spirit...NO WAY!

Really I will miss my maple trees. We need to plant some at the new house. To me they are fall. So heres some pictures from the past years of our tree.

Until next year I will try to enjoy the hot weather and catch up on my Tan.

Ooh Monday's...

Monday's are usually a day I look forward to, going back to the schedule (but never all the work that it includes). Then add a meeting with a school at 7:45am and finding carpool help along with a 2 year old that is mad that he's not going and then throws a HUGE fit and spills Chocolate milk on you white shirt as your walking out the door. It was going to be OK! I kept telling myself this as I took a deep breath! Then Emma starts to cry because Colton had taken a bite of her while she was tiring to help him from crying. Lucky for me I had a great babysitter that cleaned up the mess and got Colton happy all by the time I came home. It is going to be a good Monday, I had a fun weekend to think about and it was filled with funny, happy, productive moments.

We had our first house guest's in our new house this weekend! It was wonderful, the house got cleaned the yard got done and then the party began. Only a 24 hour period but so much fun and very little sleep. The cousins came we played apple to apples, ate junk food,& stayed up way too late. Before they left I realized I had no pictures of the family. I should of know Carissa did take a few crazy ones with the cousins.
Picture #1- Too many girls, having way too much fun and getting NO sleep = One fun sleepover!

Pictures 2 & 3-The Cousins went for a hike on the open space and came back with these funning ones! Once again Thayne and Thomas are MIA in the pictures, they had fun wrestling, playing soccar, baseballLegos and much more, those too used to fight like crazy when they were little now the can't have enough time to get all the fun in.

Can't wait for more family to come and visit! I love having space for everyone to come and stay.

First day of school

I guess summer really is over, although now its over 100 degrees and we are all melting! It always does this, every year its so cool and wonderful, then school starts and we die of heat for a month. But we had a very calm morning no dramma just lots of traffic. I love that! I'll take happy kids over anything, even an hour and 15 mins in the car to drop everyone off.

Carissa is in 10th grade, Addie 7th, Emma 4th and Thayne 1st. So far everyone has come home happy and loved all the teachers. Well Carissa hasn't made it home yet I'm sure she'll have some crazy story to tell it is high school right.

Summer is almost gone

Well we have had some adventures in August and can you believe we have pictures to so for some of them. We have paid a visit to Southern California, first the girls made it down on the airplane to see Grandma & Grandpa for a few days then I drove the car down with the boys which we did in 6 hours and 15 mins(it was a great drive down) Then we hurried over to April's house for some dinner and cousin play time. The 14 an up kids went to the dance (Carissa said it was fun and lots of cute boys) Addison dolled up Victoria and sent them off, she secretly wanted to go she is our dance machine. But she stayed with me at Grandma's Then 11o'clock came around and I had to pick up a teenager way too late after driving all morning and family bonding all evening. Bob took care of the dance here at home and then headed down for some more fun family time! I can't find any picture of this but we had a blast with Cathy & David Sunday night, Yummy food, David playing with the giggly 2 year old ( He has to be the best uncle ever) and girls laughing and giggling over Aunt Cathy, then dessert Grandma is the best! On to Monday we loaded up the Truck with our new (too us) dining room table and the "rocker" Plus the added bonus of family pictures and dishes. The trip was fast but then Bob said we were going to the beach for 2 days!!! I LOVE THE BEACH! We all got a little kissed by the sun , ate Taco's on Taco Tuesday, went for morning runs on Balboa Island, and did lots of window shopping. We headed home and felt refreshed and wished we could vacation once a month.

Just a few picture to capture the fun we had.

...then after all this we got ready for school and we are off to 10th, 7th , 4th and 1st grade in 2 days! Colton and I are ready for potty training and story time's. Plus getting my house back in order. the kitchen floor doesn't stay clean for more then 30 mins. Good bye summer.
